| If there is no one listed on the ballot for a position, a write in campaign will require at least 1 vote. The person who gets the most votes is offered the position, if he/she declines the offer, there is no winner; it does not go to the next best vote getter. (per Jane Wetson, Town Clerk for Hamilton, not confirmed for Wenham). It is then up to the Selectmen to recruit someone for he position. |

Absentee balloting for Town Elections closes at Noon on May 16th at Noon The Election is May 17, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the
Winthrop Elementary School
Vote for:
- Elected offices
- Any warrant articles passed at town meeting that require a vote
- Any overrides approved at town meeting
