Town Meeting Monday May 7, at 7:30 pm at the Hamilton- Wenham High School Auditorium.
Continues May 8, at 7:30 if need a second night

Nomination Papers
If there is no one listed on the ballot for a position, a write in campaign will require at least 1 vote.  The person who gets the most votes is offered the position, if he/she declines the offer, there is no winner; it does not go to the next best vote getter. (per Jane Wetson, Town Clerk for Hamilton, not confirmed for Wenham).  It is then up to the Selectmen to recruit someone for he position. 
Since this section wasn't online until after the nomination process has run its course, we are leaving out the details.
Register to Vote! It's too late now, you needed to register to vote by Tuesday, April 13tth  for Town Elections and Town Meeting.
Town Elections Absentee balloting for Town Elections closes at Noon on May 16th at Noon

The Election is May 17, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Winthrop Elementary School

Vote for:

  • Elected offices
  • Any warrant articles passed at town meeting that require a vote
  • Any overrides approved at town meeting

There is another Election May 17, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Buker Elementary School to vote on:

  • Any warrant articles passed at town meeting that require a vote
  • Any overrides approved at town meeting
What will we be voting on? The Warrant for Hamilton Town Meeting will be:
  • Posted to the Hamilton Town web site (pdf)
  • Will be available at various public locations (Definitely at Town Hall!)
