Town Profiles
Turning our attention from the
Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District to the two separate towns, the data
shows some similarities and important differences between Hamilton and Wenham:
The two towns are similar in their:
- Median Home Price - Percent Change from
FY 1998 to FY 2003, with both towns increasing over 80% (Wenham’s 87% placed
the town in the 89th percentile, vs Hamilton’s 81% increase which
was in the 62nd percentile of comparison towns)
- Median Residential Tax Bills (both in the
middle third of comparison towns)
- Income per Capita for FY 1999 (both in
the middle third of comparison towns)
- Residential plus Open Space Levy as a %
of Total Town Revenue (both in the top third of comparison towns)
