CSC School Study Volunteers Area
Introduction to CSC and the School District Comparison Study

On a weekly basis, we bring you up to speed on important events that affect our community.

We list important meetings and events that are scheduled for the next week, and beyond.

The Update combines this information in the form of an email which can be emailed to you, at no charge.

We list volunteer opportunities in our community, including town boards, schools, and non-profits.

We provide Links to community and regional web sites of interest.

There is a page with downloadable studies which may be of interest.

In the early days of CSC, we embarked on an ambitious project called the School District Comparison Study We invited approximately 25 school districts to complete a 5 part survey which covered a wide array of areas such as budgets, programs, demographics, and school financing.  We now have the following data available:

  • 13 Elementary School Districts

  • 12 Middle School Districts

  • 9  High School Districts

  • 11 School Districts (District wide survey)

  • 14 Municipalities that govern the above school districts

This is raw data, which can be easily converted for analysis and presentation.  If you are interested in taking a look, please contact Tom Rogers at tomrogers@hwcsc.org.

Click here to view the first part of our study which compared relevant information from the Massachusetts Departments of Education and Revenue, and US Census statistics.
