This is a non-public web page that shows various examples of ways that we as a community can use the EventKeeper calendar.

Currently, the towns of Hamilton and Wenham use the EventKeeper service, as well as the H-W Public Library.  The School District is now in the process of setting up the calendar, which should go online soon.  In addition, the H-W Community Center has agreed to use the calendar to track schedules of non-profit organizations.  This may take until spring time to set up.  With these 5 organizations using the same system, and with minor administrative adjustments the database will recognize conflicts instantly.  To schedule a meeting or event in our community will be a much simpler process.

As part of CSC's mission, we have tried to keep track of the various schedules for Selectmen's meetings, School Committee and other events.   I hope to link our web site to each organizations schedule to have a live feed (EK Feed) so that the CSC web site will be one place where one could go to find out what is happening throughout our community.  The EKFeed is very easy to set up, using the administrative section of the EventKeeper Calendar.  You end up with a one line script which is pasted into a web page.

As the viewer opens the page,  fresh data is loaded into a table.  The viewer can click on any item in the schedule which will take them to the main calendar for more detail. Once it is set up, there is nothing to do other than refresh the page for the current schedule.

This is a sample feed from Wingnuts schedule (a very busy dog).

Here is a link to the Carver MA School Department which has an EKFeed placed in the middle of their home page - www.carver.org.

Here is a sample EK Feed which consolidates the towns of  Hamilton, Wenham, the Library and CSC into one table.  You will see that it is hard to tell which org. the listing comes from.  See below for an example of the Sails Library network consolidated EKFeed which has been set up to distinguish each of 20 separate libraries in the network.

By clicking on any link in the EKFeed above, you will be taken to the CSC EventKeeper Calendar which is a test calendar, not for public use.

Click here to view the Sails network consolidated calendar, and then look half way down the page.

Another thing I'm working on is to create a scrolling schedule which could possibly be fed to Comcast to be used in place of or in addition to the scrolling calendar of events that they do on Community Access Television.  Here is a link to a list of organizations that have scrolling calendars, all of which are included in the monthly cost of the Event Keeper Calendar service- http://www.eventkeeper.com/kiosks/

This is a link to a school district in Texas that has made good use of the EventKeeper calendar - http://www.eventkeeper.com/code/events.cfm?curOrg=GC.

For a whole list of examples, go to the Event Keeper web site at http://www.eventkeeper.com/samples.cfm.
